NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit)
NICU in the Unique Children’s Hospital is Level III Tertiary care unit.
• It is designed to support the development of the newborns in uninterrupted fashion. The unit has the capacity to comfortably care for about 22 newborns at the same time. The unit has catered to the tiny babies weighing as low as 780 grams successfully.
• Developmentally supportive neonatal care is administered by the trained staff under the expert guidance of the Neonatologist. Babies are monitored by the qualified doctors and staff nurses round the clock.
• The unit is equipped to provide the advanced life support by conventional mechanical ventilators, high frequency ventilators, HFNC devices and CPAP machines.
• The unit has been successfully taking care of congenital surgical problems like TO Fistulas and Diaphragmatic Hernias.
• The management its own protocols based on the international recommendations and these protocols are followed strictly to ensure adequate care and safety and to completely avoid the unnecessary interventions, investigations and drugs. (The unit has strict criteria for initiation of antibiotics). Mothers are encouraged to Breast feed the babies at the earliest and also to provide KMC.
• Post discharge babies are monitored in the High Risk Newborn Clinic and Developmental Pediatrics OPD by a team of Developmental Pediatrics, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech and Language consultants besides Pediatric Neurologist for the meticulous monitoring of growth and development of the babies.
PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit )
• PICU in Unique Children’s Hospital is an 8 bed Secondary care level Unit. Equipped with conventional ventilators, High Flow Nasal Canula Oxygen (HFNC) delivery devices and bed side 2D-ECHOE and color Doppler.
• A critical care physician (Pediatric Intensives) is available 24 hours a day for consultation on the care of critically ill children.
• The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is a multidisciplinary unit that provides care for infants, children and adolescents who become critically ill or injured.

• When your child needs medical treatment, you want him or her to have the very best care available. So it stands to reason that if your child needs an operation, you will want to consult with a surgeon who is qualified and experienced in operating on children only.
• Pediatric Surgeons at Unique Children’s Hospital have the experience of decades of conducting surgeries in children.
Unique Child Development Center
• Unique Child Development Centre is taking comprehensive care of issues related to the Child Development.
•The organization mentored by Dr. Sudhir Malwade (Neonatologist), and Dr. Shiji Chalipat (Pediatric Neurologist) along with other like-minded therapist joining as team members are working in the collaboration of Unique Children’s Hospital.
• It is the only center in the municipal limits of Pimpri Chinchwad which provides the comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic services to the deserving children (children with special needs) with various issues related to the child development.
